Liaison between vendors and Simplimatic Automation. Maintaining expedited parts for main office location, as well as our electronic location on 29. Back-up to Purchasing team.

Primary responsibilities

• Daily review of shortage report
• Follow up with vendors daily on past due items
• Monitor and process NCRs
• Daily communication with production to ensure equipment ships on time
• Adequately prepare for production meetings (this involves a deep dive into past due parts, as to provide the most accurate information)
• Maintain a good working relationship with vendors
• Coordinate with the Stockroom Supervisor to ensure accurate inventory
• Coordinate with SA machine shop on hot parts
• Assist SA employees in searching for lost parts on the floor
• Inform Engineering when a BOM issue arises to prevent future NCRs and delays
• Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure we are getting HOT parts as quickly and inexpensively as possible
• Run/distribute reports to suppliers (expedite weekly, open order as needed, etc.); provide feedback to the team and follow up with vendors for issue resolution as needed
• Assist in expediting/sourcing/purchasing late add and problem items as needed
• Assist in expediting/sourcing secondary processing for late add/problem items as needed
• Assist in identifying/adding new suppliers
• Positive and energetic attitude
• Good customer service/phone skills
• Data entry experience
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work product is important
• Help internal customers locate materials/allocate materials
• Handle and record movements of expedited materials
• Ensure adherence of established safety standards of storeroom management
• Perform other duties as identified and directed by the Purchasing Manager


• Associates Degree or higher
• 2-4 years Purchasing experience
